Well you have to eat to live. If you starve yourself eventually you will get hungry and eat, then you body will store that fat and you will gain more weight.

I wouldn't concentrate on your eating in general I would concentrate on what you are eating. If you are on a diet and you eat a whole bag of chips, you naturally would feel bad, but if you eat a piece of baked chicken and a salad Then why feel bad about eating healthy?

The best way of tackling this problem is not to talk about being on a diet. It needs a life style change; that is to eat fairly healthily most of the time and to allow yourself treats without feeling guilty. You need plenty of fresh fruit and veg, lean meat, esp chicken and fish and some carbs to stay healthy. As for your initial question,if you feel that this is taking over your life then seek medical advice because you could have an eating disorder which has emotional issues underlying it and needs expert advice and support in order to to manage it

This usually has to do with poor self esteem issues ~ is there something going on in your life that makes you feel out of control? If it's a job, quit it, if it's college, take a break and go do something crazy like move to Montana to a ranch, if it's a relationship -take a break~get a different perspective on yourself and life -remember that your wasting a LOT OF TIME on worrying over food instead of how you could be a great person therefore improving your life. Spell check would be a great place to start.

Don't worry, only eat stuff that makes you feel that it's part of your diet and don't go harsh on yourself orelse your body will end up like a bag of sking hanging, you should eat when ever you must and work out alot. Although this could also be serious, you might have some apetite loss or something, go to a doctor

Eating a diet that stresses protein (poultry and fish are best, unless you are a vegetarian and then soy is very good), low glycemic carbohydrates (look up a glycemic index) and good fat (olive oil for cooking, almonds or peanuts for snacking), may help.

For in between meal snacks, go to the kitchen and get some protein, meat, a can of tuna or whatever, and eat it. Also have some carbohydrate, like some carrots/celery and some nuts or peanut butter. Eat at least 2 ounces of the protein.

If you find you are still gaining weight, then you may want to get checked out for hypoglycemia. That is what put my weight on me, and it helps to understand it in order to control it.

For basic information on hypoglycemia, check out www.hufa.org. For basic information on hyperinsulinemia - a precursor condition to hypoglycemia, check out www.mayoclinic.com/health/hyperinsulinemia/HQ00896

One way to go about this is to try to look at his situation in a different manner. First of all, people need to eat to live, If you try to starve yourself, you will not like the reaction that your body does. Honestly look at what you eat, when you eat, why you eat and how you are feeling when you eat. The answers to these questions will help you see how you are looking at eating. It sounds like you are putting too much emphasis on eating itself and not the reasons for the eating. Try a support group, Hypnosis or even gastric surgery, if it is that serious. In any case,, good luck.

Don't worry. If you are on a beach and people try to push you back into the water, then you know you are fat.
