Yes. It dries it out. You're suppose to use lukewarm water. And for rinsing out your conditioner use cool water. The colder the water, the shinier the hair!

The heat from the water will open your pores-that's all. I dont believe it will damage your hair. Heat from the blow dryer will, over time, dry out your hair, that's why you need to use conditioner.

Hair loss is usually genetic. They say your mom's dad holds the hair loss gene. So if grampa was a baldy (not as an old man either) then you may be one too.

I would imagine it depends on just how hot the water is. It would have to be pretty hot to damage your hair and if it was that hot it would probably hurt your head anyway. I know that rinsing your hair with cold water is supposed to be good for it though.

It can if it is too hot and you leave it their too long. I don't think it is a reason for hair loss. Shampoo with warm water and rinse with cool to close the cuticle back up.

No it doesn't, but it does open up pores and make hair seem more dull after you wash it. Right before you get out of the shower, try turning the water really cold and rinsing your hair. It will close the pores and make it shinier.

it dries out your hair because it's like applying a blowdryer and curl iron. there's two ways to know if it's bad for your hair, if it can't touch your skin, then it can't touch your hair, two would a little baby be able to go inside the temperature you use for your hair. it's not really one of the reasons for hair loss but for dry/damaged hair. hair loss has to do with stress, aging, and stuff inside of your body like cancer, lukemia , maybe your age gene, etc.

Hot water dries out your scalp and makes your scalp look like you have dandruff...... it also dries out your hair and takes the natural oils out then your hair looks dull...best is lukewarm to cool
