dreamin.
Count on 2 pounds a week ... maybe 10 pounds in a month if you do it in a way that is healthy and will stay off.
You have a 3 1/2 month job ahead of you. Start eating right...start running 4x or 5x a week, and lift weights 1x or 2x a week.
4 months from now you'll either be happy you gave it a shot...or you'll be looking for some magic diet to lose 30 pounds in 39days....

A lot of people want to lose weight so fast and overnight. That just isn't going to happen. Weight loss takes time, dedication and disciple.
Losing 30 pounds in 39 days is rather dangerous. We should be losing 2-3 pounds a week, that is 8-12 pounds in a month, which is very good and believe it or not people notice a difference.
When you lose too much weight at once it is hard on the cardio system. Another thing is, if you try to lose to much at once, the body will defend itself and store fat and you will not get anywhere because your body will think it's starving and it puts up its natural defenses.
Drink a reasonable amount of water everyday, don't starve yourself, but cut back on your food intake, don't be eating a lot of junk and fatty foods. People do not realize that it's not what we it , it's how much we eat.
Forget about the fad diets and herbs and so on they do more harm than good and often times we are missing out on nutrients that our bodies need. that can lead to other complications.
You don't need to do hard excercises, a good brisk walk for 30 minutes 3 times a week is good enough.
You have to keep up on it and make it a habit.
It takes discipline and lots of effort.
Good luck!

well if you take in 2000 calories a day you need to burn 1500 more... meaning burn 3500 total.... eating salad, and fruit and fresh veggies would be the best way to do it.. but its unhealthy to lose that much weight so quickly, you should shoot for 14-18 pounds in 40 days..

I do know that a pound is about 3500 calories. So, (3500x30)/39=2700 calories a day (rounded off to the higer 10).

honey, that goal is too high for anyone to reach unless you are having surgery. they say that to be healthy a good goal is to lose about 2 pounds a week. otherwise it's just weight you will gain right back. go the healthy way and you will be better off in the long run. good luck.
