I think that Serenity is a beautiful name and you shoul not care what other people think. Here are some other names just in case you decide to name her some thing else Madison, Morgan, Bre-Ann, Cassidy, Marie, Lynn, and Elizabeth. You could always use some of the names I gave you for the middle name. Good Luck and remember that this is your daughter so name her what ever you want.

Serenity is a pretty name. The only problem I can see is that it is also a trait - what if little Serenity cries all the time and grow up to be loud and bad-tempered? Like naming a girl Grace and having her end up being clumsy.

You probably don't want to post your last name but I think that will have a lot to do with your daughter's first name. Serenity is a beautiful name but are you selecting it, hoping she'll live up to her name? How about letting it be her middle name? Also, make sure her initials don't spell anything embarrassing.

Serenity is great! My only suggestion is that when you select a name for your child - please consider what that child will have to endure when they attend school. (smile) Recently there has been a rash of mothers naming their children after the alcohol they got drunk on when they conceived. I have taught way too many "Alaze, Tangerray...well you get the picture". (smile) I like "Sidney" for a girl; also "Athena" .I would also consider background research of your family names. I learned that Skyneska was a family name for us - my mom gave me this for a middle name and I gave my daughter the name for her first. It means - "the brightest light in the heavens" and when I was pregnant with her - knowing she was a miracle baby - not supposed to be - I believe wholeheartedly that she was our brightest light - it also has history in Cherokee/West Africa.

I hate this. Name your baby what works for you and your family. Not by what other people think of a name of a child they have never even met!!!
Do not listen to others. Follow your heart and name your baby whatever you want to!!!
My cousin named her little girl Serenity and its a beautiful name for a beautifil little girl.

I love that name!!! So unique and unusual... Here's some info about that name just for you from me...
SERENITY
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English
Pronounced: se-REN-i-tee [key]
Means "serenity, calm" from the English word.
Hopefully that can help you, and happy choosing....
Take care,
Dee
