I have a chew monster. She won't touch a Kong, or any other rubber toy.
I found toys called Combat Extreme. They are made of ballistic nylon, and are warrantied against chew damage. In fact their ad says they will warranty the toy even if it is attacked by a pack of rabid wolves. My dog did damage one of the toys and the company promptly sent me a new one, free.
For treats I recommend you go to www.petextras.com
There you can order very tough, long lasting chews. I order antlerz (naturally shed deer antler), ocean chews (dried sting ray tail), Achilles tendons, and cow hooves. They have other things, but my dog has food allergies. They are great to work with, have free shipping on orders over $49, and will always include some "freebies".

We have a german shepherd/pit bull mix (as far as we can tell) and he is also a mega-chewer. We finally found a bone-shaped chew toy that lasts him a while --we get the one that is one step stronger than "powerful chewer". Sorry I can't remember the brand name, but we get them at Target or Petco. He didn't really get into the Kong toys, because he likes to hold the bone between his paws like a stick and then chew on one end.
Good luck with your powerful chewer!

I have a Jack Russell Terrier and they are POWERFUL chewers and he is no exception. The red Kong works for him, you can try the black Kong as they are virtually indestructible (this does not mean he will not chew it up but it can certainly last a lot longer). You can stuff the Kong's with treat paste or insert snacks. It keeps them busy and its so cute to watch!

Have you tried The brand Kong?I worked at a pet store and thats the number one choice for people own pitbulls.Oh and Try not to give your dog rawhide because they splinter in their stomaches, and NEVER give them greenies! they kill dogs.
