The blood types in most humans are O, B A and AB. Add the Pos or Neg Rhesus factors and you get a multitude of different blood types. Now, with only one base pair (Adam and Eve) this is impossible.
Now when you understand that these blood types stretch across phenotypes, your myth about these two "parents" becomes even more laughable.
And for those who talk about Mitochondrial DNA, please get some basic education about the subject. I've included a link just for you. That way you wont look like a total retard when you post about something that you have no knowledge of. Hopefully the big words won't hurt your heads too much. That is, IF you actually read it. (I'm not holding my breath here, most of you are intellectually barren anyway.)

terrorismbuster,
Um, no. You see, since Eve was made from adam's rib, she would have his exact blood type.
So that argument goes "kablooie" as usual...

Dude, you can't talk science to a "christian." That's like trying to explain to a child that the moon is a giant rock and not a hunk of smiling cheese.

Recently there was a report/study released about the genetic tracking of the human species that indicates that all of mankind presently living can be traced back to about 6000 to 7000 years ago to a common ancestor. Two years ago there was a similar correlation done of the migration patterns of mankind, which indicated the original source for the migration started somewhere in Africa or the middle east. Both of these studies were based upon the study of genetic patterns found in blood samples taken through out the world.
The accounting for the various blood types can be seen in the isolation of groups of peoples worldwide. The different groups of blood types seem to fit into three different patterns. These patterns are seen as part of the three primary migrations out of Africa and the middle east. The only reasonable solution to the different types would be that be genetic propensity for variation was built into the original pair. This assumption could be justified by the immense adaptability of the human species to the habitat we find mankind living in. Polar regions to desert, from sea level to 20000 feet elevations. Mankind has been able to adapt. The reproductive adapability of mankind is also shown by the ability to continue to maintain and interbreedability withing all the various groups. If the interbreedability were to have changed we would no longer have a single species but two or more. Since the research has shown that he common ancestor is between 6000 and 7000 years ago the human race - homo sepians - has not had a chance to mutate and have two different species which could be attributed to the the stability of the DNA base pair. That stability would also match the Adam & Eve origins of man as a perfect pair of humans created by God and placed in the garden of eden. Where once thrown out of that garden multipled and subdued the earth and here we are today trying to figure out where the different blood types came from. Only conclussion available is that God made Adam & Eve with the diversity we see today including the different blood types.

One aspect of the wide variety of humans is all the different blood types. The following explanation covers the main A, B and O blood types.
The A and B blood groups are caused by different antigens (substances which provoke immune responses) on the surface of the red blood cells. Their production is under the control of the DNA. The antigens develop from a red blood cell surface precursor called H substance, which is common to A, B and O. Type A results from the placement of N-acetylgalactosamine by the enzyme type A transferase on the H substance. Type B results from attachment of galactose to H by Type B transferase.
Type O is the result of a simple point mutation that greatly reduced or destroyed the ability of Type A transferase to attach N-acetylgalactosamine to H substance. Note that this is an example of loss of information, so is irrelevant to particles-to-people evolution. This ineffective Type A transferase is called circulating protein. The ineffectiveness of type O’s circulating protein depends on the point in the DNA where the mutation occurred, because some type Os attach more N-acetylgalactosamine to H than others. This sometimes causes discrepancies among blood banks. The mutations probably happened early in human history, since O is the most common blood group. Unattached H substance itself is an antigen which results in the rare blood type Bombay or Oh.
There is one gene in humans that controls the ABO blood type. There are three versions of the gene, or alleles: A, B, or O. Since the gene is always present as a pair of alleles, with one inherited from each parent, two alleles are always present, so that the possible genetic make-up of any individual is AA, BB, AB, AO, BO, or OO. The O allele is recessive to the A or B, meaning that in the presence of the A or B allele, the blood type is determined by the A or B allele. That is, an AO person has A-type blood; a BO person has B-type blood, whereas only an OO person has O-type blood. Anyone with O-type blood is called a universal donor because their blood lacks the A or B proteins so that O-type blood can be given to a person with A, B or AB type blood. If, for example, A-type blood is given to a person with B-type blood, an allergic reaction can result in death of the recipient.
For a husband and wife to pass on all alleles to their children, they need to, between them, have the A, B, and O alleles. So Adam and Eve could have had any of the following genetic make-ups:
AO and BO, AB and OO, AB and AO, AB and BO, AA and BO or BB and AO, that is, any combination where both parents have all three alleles between them. Another possibility is that the O gene arose later by mutation as discussed above. If so, the parents would only need to have A and B between them, so they could both be AB, or AA and AB, BB and AB or AA and BB.
If Adam and Eve were genetically AO and BO, for example, their children could have had AB, AO, BO or OO genetic make-up, giving AB, A, B, or O blood types. Indeed, about 25% of their children would have been of each type (see the Punnet Square—below) .
A O
B AB BO
O AO OO
If Adam and Eve had 56 children, as per Jewish tradition, then there would have been about 14 of each blood group.

Well, actually it is relatively simple. Consider the fact that it wasn't JUST Noah (if of course you believe the Bible) that was rescued from drowning in the flood. He was, what, six hundred by the time he built the ark? Who knows how many grandchildren he had? And great-grandchildren?
Considering the fact that around the times of Noah, there wasn't incest (at least, it wasn't really practiced anymore, though at the beginning it wouldn't have been an issue), all of his descendants' descendants would have different genetic codes.
Of course, as time has gone on, and mankind has evolved, so have our genetic codes...which has brought forth all kinds of different things, such as different blood types.
My grandchildren may not have my husband's or even my same blood type. So, it's been several thousand years, and considering how things change within just two generations...perhaps that would explain a little.
Also, it IS possible that Adam and Eve were the parents of us all, simply because their children went and married others, and it all went down the line. Either way, somehow or another, all of them intermarried.
Yes, humans are all related. I believe that even if we appear different on the outside. That's just evolution.

Spoiler: Science and religion don't mix.
You seem like a man of science, rather than one of faith?
Adam and Eve weren't the only two people created I hope you know. They were only the FIRST two, and God created more human beings afterwards. Just to be clear, I'm not religious. I had this discussion before when arguing over Adam and Eve implying incest.

With God all things are possible. Everything is matter some is just purer and can't be seen by the naked eye. Also, remember the tower of Babel where the Lord confounded the languages, no one could understand each other. This complicated their lives and understanding of one another but didn't mean they once didn't speak and understand the same language.

Have you ever read Genesis? There are a lot of questions that come up along the same lines. Who are the others that Cain went to after being thrown out of the Garden of Eden? His wife wasn't his sister because it says that Adam and Eve only had Cain, Abel, and Seth. Many more question, indeed.

My wife and I have three children, and each has a different blood type. This distinction is merely genetic. God is able to create multiple types. You are so sadly mistaken. May the Lord have mercy on you.

or better yet,, different races??
christians believe that adam and eve lived somewhere between 6 and 12 thousand years ago. and they believe that all 6 billion people on earth are their descendants.
ACTUALLY,,, let's not forget,,,,, they believe that all of us are descendants of NOAH. so, essentially,,,, in like the last 4,000 years or so, noah's descendants were able to spread across the globe and micro-evolve into asians, africans, europeans, amerinds, aborigines, and polynesians. ............in 4,000 years.
c'mon people. just give up on your bronze age ideas already. they're embarrassing.
