I only did the cabbage soup diet for 2 weeks. I did lose weight with it; roughly 7 or 8 pounds, but it came right back as soon as I ate normal again.

I know if you are considering this diet, you are feeling desperate to lose weight quickly. But, trust me ... as a person who has literally tried ALL of the fast methods of losing weight ... and a person who is of a very strong mind, what I have had to recognize is that there is no such thing as a permanent quick fix.

There are permanent slow methods and there are temporary quick fixes. You must decide what you will be happy with in the long run. If you are ok with the idea that you will lose weight quickly but gain it back, plus more, go with a diet like CSD.

Otherwise, I would encourage something more life changing like Body for Life or South Beach. I've done both of those too ... ha ha .. and I find Body for Life works best for as a long term approach.

I have done that diet....it worked for the 1st ten pounds (although that was probably just water weight) but it was gross to keep doing.
