I think you shouldn't judge quickly because, after all they are your neighbours and accusing them of beating their dogs isn't the best way to keep a friendly relationship with them.Go to their house(I mean they asked you to) play with the dogs and try looking for signs of violence, like are there marks on the puppies,do they limp, are the owners aggressive towards them.Usually when people aren't kind to dogs, they aren't really friendly to them even if there are others around so you should be able to know after a visit or two.If after that you still suspect something is wrong call a vet or a shelter and they will be able to tell you what you should do next.

42 states have strict laws against animal cruelty. You can contact your local authorities and report your neighbor for cruelty to animals. If you have no proof, the dogs may serve as some if they have scars from the beatings. You are very noble in coming forward as no one else has stood up for those innocent people. Good luck and I hope your neighbors are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Um, as far as I know tape recording without permission is illegal...I would just warn the police that you have heard those things and maybe have them keep an eye out...or report them to an amimal rescue service...Other than that, unfortunately there isnt much else you can do unless you actually witness something...

Do what olivia says but tell the police or spca to keep your name out of it as you still have to live there and if you do get a chance to play with them check for bruising and give them extra love to make up for those rat bastards behavoir.

SPCA or local animal shelter. Some police departments have animal control officers in larger jurisdictions and smaller ones can refer you to a contracted animal control provider. Good luck.

i agree with olivia...if you get any kind of evidence (expecially video) then the police should do something! after you get some video for the first time then call the police and tell them and ask them if they will come to your house and warn your neighbors then put oyur video camera out there again and if you get more then call them again and they will prob. take them out of the house! good for you on helpin them little guys! lol

Use a tape recorder and call the humane society or nearest animal rescue association! Someone will have to check it out... But do it anonymously so that they can't harass you...

Please don't wait until it happens again. Call the humane society as soon as possible. Waiting maybe too late. I have a dog that was abused by his former owners. He's a mess. I've had him for 6 years, but he hasn't forgotten the things they did to him. Please call now and save those poor puppies from a life of living hell.
