There aren't any quick ways but there are sure safe ways of doing this. Change of life style is the answer not a diet. This is the only sure way of losing weight and keeping it off. You need to be sure that you don't have any medical issues before you start.
A healthy diet of lean meat, white meat and fish with plenty fresh fruit and veg and small amount of carbs is the basis. Make sure you cut down on fat and sugar including fizzy drinks and keep the carbs under control.
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, by that I mean water or low calorie squash. Alcohol has lot of calories.
Then combine this with starting some exercise, build up slowly so that you increase your tolerance level. Walking briskly is a good way to start, be vigilant of any warning signs, don't over do it so that you feel discomfort. You need to be slightly breathless in order to burn off calories and strengthen your cardio-vascular system. Take advice from your doctor and dietician if you are not very fit and have lot of weight to lose.

If you're in the UK go on the Cambridge Diet - ignore all the people who tell you it's bad for you - it's not, it's nutritionally complete and you will lose about a stone a month. Then do the stabilisation and maintenance programmes PROPERLY and you'll go back to normal healthy eating and WILL NOT put it back on, honestly! It's expensive at about £33 a week, but that's all you eat. Tell yourself it's only 6 months out of your whole life and you can do it. It's not the easiest diet in the world to stick to, but the weight loss is so quick you get a real buzz off watching the pounds leap off you! I lost 5 stone in 8 weeks last year - stopped eating, it's a bit dangerous to say the least, and I think that my motive (depression) wrong.
I wouldn't advise it - I have excess skin and look worse than I did before.
