I had nice long shiny hair and gotit permed, it gone into a frizzy mess, not as bad as it was as I slather it in conditioner and hot oils and leave the conditioner in but it is so frizzy and dry and has gone a brassy yellow colour, to make matters worse my greasy dark roots are coming through, I need to change back to my natural colour then put some ash highlights through, as is yellow and frizzy but it is almost breaking off! Any ideas short of wearing a hat? I am already conditioning it loads!

ok girl leave it alone relax wear a hat and leave it be - hot oils are what you use to fry - cut hair short and let it be it needs to heal

You have my sympathy - with me it's not so much a question of a bad hair DAY.....more like bad hair decade!!!

I think your hair can so affect your confidence.

Why is it that some women can bleach their hair for 40 years and STILL it looks silky and gorgeous? Others do it once or twice when they're young-ish and it looks like straw.

Is there no justrice???

If you can afford it, I'd advice you to go to the best hairdresser and have a stunning cut. Then you can start all over again, putting too many products on it...why? I bet you look gorgeous your own colour.

I have been blonde.....it does work if you dye it back dark...or at least it's camoflage for a while unti it grows longer.

Have you thought of hair extensions? I know they are pricey.

Hey - think positive....if it was the 1950s you would have to wear a headskarf......

A pretty wig is an alternative, though it might be a bit too warm this time of year...

I'd go for the short haircut. Have a whip round from your friends and family if funds are low.

Sorry of I sound a bit off, but this is a bit too close to call!!!!!

My sister went through this a month ago, so I gave her a ring up to ask her what she is doing. Here goes;
You want to buy a good lotion from your salon to enhance the curl and add shine. She said she got exactly the look the perm was supposed to have with this. Never dry it, but keep scrunching it up as your hair air dries. Once it is dry, put a bit more on the dryest part of your hair to boost the shine, and use a shine spray. Also do not wash your hair more than every other day.
Now the dark growth thing; she said put your hair in a ponytail and colour only the roots, [she does this too] and use a colour shampoo to even the whole mess out.
Good luck from both of us!

You need to go to a hairdressing warehouse that stocks a product called 'KERASILK'. It is made by a company called GOLDWELL. It is the best conditioning treatment available. Instructions are on the back but as a guide.
Shampoo hair, condition with small amount of kerasilk, simply rinse out then comb through. Towel dry and comb product through hair, wrap in clingfilm and laeve in for 20 mins. Rinse thouroughly and you will be amazed.

kayy.

soundss bad!! *hug* lol. gudluck with w.e yu do...
buh lemme tell ask yu WHY yu permed it in the first place ?? it goes wrong 60-70% of the time. . . lol. kk so what yu CAN do is cut it, and have it styled. Choppingg some off is the way to attract LESS attention to the frizz, for example if your hair is LONG and frizzy its one of the first things you will notice. So go get your hair cut and styled. Keep some low lights aka getting the root colour into your hair. so that it looks part of it. truss this looks hot.

hun use a straightener!! if its really humid outside then the effect mite wear off, but its still gon last long enuff. normal / hot / cold weather all keep you hair looking straight. Dun wrri this works. get a gud ceramic plate straightener!! lol dun wear a hat unless its a hot wun!! dun HIDE your hair coz that DUZ attract attention. kk ?

k hun dun forget to go to yur hairdresser. get it chopped n styled. few low lights for the time being, since that will look gud. trust. i know these things ;) loll. k well its 2: 00 am i gotta bouncee. STRAIGHTNER is important!!

ASK YUR HAIRDRESSER FOR MORE INFO!!!! AIIIGHT ?

GOODLUCK HUN!!!! TELL ME HOW IT GOES!!! <333

leave your hair alone. It is damaged, it needs time to heal. do some deep conditioning's. Leave the hot oil treatments alone to. They really dont do nething for them. If you can live with short hair cut it. What ever u do DO NOT BLEACH OR COLOR IT BLACK. You will do more damage on your hair then need be. Give your hair time to heal. Its going to be a long process. Before you had it permed was there ne type of bleach or color in your hair? Even if it was a few years ago it is still in your hair. Email me and we can find a solution for your hair together.

Get your hair cut into a short sleek style which is very in at the moment, use hot oils weekly and try not to overuse straighteners...better to use a diffuser on a cool heat and have a kink to it....as your new hair comes through you can try out styles of all lengths...as you probably haven't tried that in a while.
Above all....smile through it.....................and never get a perm again!

hi to remedy this problem you've to get a bleach like Bblone and the 12% peroxide yet you'll favor to leave it on for a least 90mins also you may finally end up white which isn't a good look. to remedy all you hair complications purely dye it brown dont use a mild golden brown because it wont coever the orange and dont use a blonde because it wont do something to the colour yet make it worse. you want to pass darker dont be alarmed if its darkish brown you placed on as you receives a extra efficient covereage yet as its a mild colour its occurring it is going to likely be a lighter result contained eventually in case you comprehend what I propose. in case you pass to a hairdresser all they are going to do is dye over it in any case and it is going to fee you a fortune so purely get placed on a cap or get someone to pass to tescos and get a brown or darkish brown hair dye perfect semi-permenant and then your good to pass, yet in destiny go away the bleach on lengthy sufficient earlier you wash it off.

Get a haircut and lose some of the perm. It will help to get your hair into better condition.

I am not a hairdresser, but you sound like you have to wack it off.

You may make it a while, but the hair shaft sounds ruined. You can't recolor or straighten or fix dead hair.

Sorry. Go for a new do.
