The best way to tone up is a healthy diet and lots of exercise. Something that is high in protein is beneficial to you, but try to pick something that is also low in fat. Cheese is not something that is healthy for you, I would try to stay away from that. Peanut Butter is also not a good choice. Stick to fruits and vegetables and definately keep some carbs in your diet since thats where your energy comes from. Try to get in at least 60 mins of hard cardio work out three times a week, to loose weight, and 2 to three times a week of weight traning if you want to tone up.

"the right kind of dietary fat in the right amounts is both good for your health and vital to your weight loss, very low fat diets will not work for most people. researchers from Harvard found that people following a mediterranean style diet for weight loss were more successful than those following a low-fat diet. the types of fats eaten in this diet were primarily monounsaturated: peanut butter, nuts, and olive and canola oils. what is the message here? the tastier and more satisfying the food, the greater the overall succes. Another interesting find in this study was that the quality of the diet within the Mediterranean groups was far better and more nutrient rich than the low fat diet. you need to maintain the right balance between fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in order to shed pounds in a healthy way."

ok. i know that sounds strange, that a low fat diet is less healthy than one higher in fat, but i believe that it is true. we have been mislead by the government on how we should balance out our daily meals. the paragraph above came from The Sonoma Diet book which i suggest getting. i love it :)

Your writing is hard to read when you write things like this. Nevertheless, cheeses, p.butter and things like this high in fat, but have protein are fine to eat in moderation. Don't eat too much of them. Limit them to several times a week, or once a week. If you're eating normally you'll be getting enough protein in your diet.
If you need more information on proteins, go to your search engine and type in "proteins-how much."

Stay away from the peanut butter, go with the really thing. Unsalted peanuts, walnuts, or highly recommend almonds. I eat Flaxseed myself ground on my salads, oatmeal, etc. You will get the benefits of protien with out the "bad" fats. plus benefit as well from Omega 3 which is needed to burn unwanted fats

This all depends on what type of diet you are on ..
If you are on an Atkins type diet were you are burning fat then it is okay.. if you are on a low fat diet then it is bad.. In short the diet you are on is training your body to burn certian types of fuel.. if your eating a lot of carbs and buring mostly carbs then the fat could be bad as it will get stored as fat .. if your on Atkins or low carb diet the fat will be broken down and consumed by your body so it is okay (keytosis)
