I have fallen in love with the butter they use when they serve you the wheat bread at Longhorn's and I have tried my best to learn how to make it? Can anyone help me or does anyone have any suggestions as to how they make it? Also, any tips on how they make the wheat bread would be nice as well. It's great to have at home when serving it for dinner.

it is just whipped margarine. nothing added, at Longhorn.
Outback ads something to their bread spread i think, not sure
(by the way, you can ask your server next time you're there, just to make sure. they will be happy to tell you the ingredients of anything they serve there)

I believe they use honey butter. Here is a recipe

Honey Butter

Ingredients:

1/2 pound butter (2 sticks), softened
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

Combine the ingredients in your mixer that has a whisk attached and blend for about 3 minutes, scrapping the sides of the bowl 3 times. Remove the butter from the bowl and spoon onto parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll into a 1 inch diameter log and refrigerate for 2 hours or freeze for later use.
