I don't, but I know of a lot of people who do or have had gay fathers. Not an easy situation, I'm sure, particularly for a teenaged boy.

I have a gay grandpa. We are very close. My grandpa and grandma raised me mostly when we were young. He is such a wonderful man. Everyone in town loves him. He belongs to alot of senior group gatherings. Like bridge and card clubs. My grandma is accepting of him. They have a (friend) relationship and not too many people know. His kids found out later on in life and my dad was pretty upset. My dad is a (mechanic, redneck) kind of guy. But my dad is fine with it nowadays. He has a supportive family. I believe being gay is not a choice. I believe you are born gay. If you have a gay dad, or just found out, remember he is your dad just like non gay dads. He is a person like everyone else. I know without a doubt he loves you. I have kids and can't even imagine not loving them for one second. Seeing how my dad was confused and disappointed at first, I can understand the hurt. Because they are the same gender. My dad is a guys guy, into all kinds of trucks, sports and everything. So the most important thing is, he loves you, even if he is gay. Gay has nothing to do with being a good father. There are alot of non gay fathers out there that are horrible right?

no, but my aunt is gay.. and she has 4 children and an ex husband..
she is a wonderful person and parent..
her 3 daughters and 1 son are all very accepting of her as she is.. although it took them a while to let it all sink in (they are all early to mid 20's, and she just "came out of the closet" about 2 years ago)
and.. they are all still a very close family.. even her and her ex husband are still good friends

No, but a am sure that that is hard to deal with but just remember to keep your head up and accept your father for who he is. That does not mean that you are OK with his choices but that you still love him and accept him as your father.

Just remember this saying. People like who they like. People love who they love. You can not help who you love.
