What job in the Navy will help me get a career as a Computer Programmer?

I don't know anything about computers, will they teach me good?

I will like to know about computers, even though i don't know shi* about computers. Do you have to be really smart? How high does my ASVAB score have to be in order to get that kind of job?

Whatever you do. be sure you get a GUARRANTEED school in writing. If you do not they can do whatever they want with you. Have a CONTRACT and don't trust recruiters.

If you have a high enough asvab score, i would look into the CT field. Its essenctially the ET and the IT fields thrown together. Everything you need to know about the job is taught to you in school at Pensacola, FL. There arent many people who know about the field as there is classified work involved in it. Thats my recommendation.

I am taking it to mean you are going to enlist?

If you want to work with computers, become an IT (Interior Communications Technician). They work on networks, servers, as well as radio systems. There are many computer related courses you can take in that rate (job).

Take the asvab, just so you are sure you qualify, then go into the "ET" feild.

You should go with IT or CTN......... you can get great programmer jobs from there
