I currently have one chihuahua and am thinking about getting another one. The only problem I can forsee is this: the one I have now is a sassy little Mommy's girl who is used to being the center of attention, and while she has a few doggy friends who she has learned to adore, she is slow to warm up to other dogs. I would love to share my heart with another chihuahua, but I in no way want to hurt the one I have. Has anyone gone through this who can help?

I had a chihuahua for about 5 yrs. Then we got a half chi. and datson. It took a while but they soon were playing all the time. This same chihuahua came to live with me about 4 months ago when my mom died and her brother went with my brother. Well she is 13 yrs old now and had to get use to my boston terrier. We had her for about 5 months now and her and my boston get along it's just she is so old and don't want to play. but good luck

I have four dogs that all live in the house....one being a LH Chi. She gets along just fine with the other three. She is still a Momma's girl, but there is plenty of love to go around for the other four!

If you get another dog of any sort let the two dogs meet on neutral ground such as at the park or somplace other than your home...
