I'm a paramedic with 5 years experience. I get about 30K per year.. I live in the South, and no, I don't think I or any or the EMS professionals I work with are getting a fair deal. We work long hours for minimal pay... we put our lives on the line at times, take time from our families.. and are constantly told that we aren't as good as the nurses in the hospital because we don't have a license like they do even though we can do more in the field then most of them can do in the hospital.
