I accidentally put too much pepper in my potato salad and would like to neutralize the pepper.

You will probably have to add a little more of all the ingredients. It's easy to absorb "too much" pepper in a soup dish -- but in a dish like potato salad, there isn't much hope.

If you have put to much of an ingredient in potato salad your best bet is to double the recipe. It's faster than starting over and more cost effective.

Add sour cream to the mixture. You will still have a pepper taste, but the sour cream seems to take the bit out of it.
