I have read that it is possible to put a peanut on the end of a fishing pole line, dangle the thing just in front of a hamster on a tread mill, and he will attempt to chase it until he collapses believing the whole time there's a point in getting to the peanut.
I have never tried this experiment, but apparently some people have.

He needed to ask questions so he could use the answers later! Kind of like a Y!A user asking questions about Buddhism and then going around professing it as if he knew it all along.

He had to do a lot of convincing!!

Best way to teach is to ask questions to get people to think. Ask any good teacher and they will tell you the same, ask questions to get thoughts going and you will learn a lot better than just talking and giving facts.

He asked the questions to get the people to think for themselves as in the question after the parable of the Good Samaritan "so who do you think was the neighbour to the one in need?'

Ever heard of a rhetorical question? I didn't think so. Why am I wasting my time on your question? You see, some questions are thrown out there so that the other person will answer them for themselves, get it?
