A very fair question and deserving of an answer.

Jesus does save us from eternal damnation and it is eternal. No second chances. Jesus' love for us provides the way to eternal salvation. Just for your knowledge, read the book of John in the Gospels (the 4th book in). It expains so much better than I could, how and why He saves us. It portrays love in perfection and what He was willing to do to have that relationship with us. He isn't afar off. He's with us always. Who can we say that about?

I am saved but I have a job to do while here. When my job is done, then my heavenly reward awaits me. He has a set time for all of us and it is up to us to use the giftings He has given us until it is time to go to our real home. It is fun being here and I'm not in a real rush to leave my earthly home and family but I know Heaven is better....perfect.

I hope you can understand what I am going to try to get across, but I don't think that a place called heaven is our ultimate goal. Jesus saved, but you have to ask yourself from what? for what? and to what? He also tried to get the peoploe that the kingdom of heaven is within you. So in around about way you are in heaven. As far as staying on earth, what's wrong with earth? Whay are so many people trying to escape the home God made for them? There is a song that says "this world is not my home I'm just a passing through" I don't believe it. Good luck on finding your answers.

Great question!
The answer is that God do not want us to be saved ONLY.
He wants us to preach about salvation...´cause if everyone who got saved would have gone...who would be left to preach?
Also, God is a Warrior, and we are in a war.We must learn to battle, and if we leave we wont learn. In this place, the land of the living, is the learning place for our spiritual conquering.Everything you do here will be rewarded in the after life with Jesus. I´m not talking about judgment of the non believer, but judgment of the work for God , that will be rewarded to each worker according to his fidelity to the Lord in this land.
After u convert and u get saved, the journey has just began!
Salvation is not the finish line, is the start point of the race.

To perfect our character to be more like His. Many, if they went to Heaven now, would have no trouble with getting sin going again and start the whole mess over again. When we can see the terribleness of sin and have the character of Jesus, we are then ready to go but will have to wait till Jesus comes in our graves if He does not come first. He has to come for us as we do not go to Heaven like a dripping faucet as most would have you believe but all together. See 1 Thess. 4:16-17

What about all the other people that are not saved yet?
I guess that it is good that you( I assume?) and I are saved but what about them? Who would tell them? It is those who are saved's job to tell, to witness, if you are not here, and in heaven, then no one else will get saved.
The point to staying here on earth is to preach and teach the gospel of salvation to others.
Matthew 28: 19-20
God Bless~!

that's a good question. Why do they not want to go to heaven if they truly believe that is where they are going?
Because man was created to live on this planet and that's where we want to live. Even if conditions on earth are not now perfect.
But they will be soon. And to live on a paradise earth is a lot better than going off somewhere to the unknown.

John 3:16 says FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS BELOVED SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM, SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. Yes he saved us, and we do not have to sacrifice animals for our sins to be forgiven, that is why he died for our sins, only God knows the time when he will take us into heaven, and while we are on earth, he wants us to keep on preaching the Gospel to other people who have not heard.

If he took all saved people to heaven, when they got saved, then no one will be able to preach salvation to the world. God has a plan and a purpose for each one of us that is why we are on the earth to fulfill that which God has called us to fulfill. The purpose of our lives is God. Matthew 28:19, says Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. THAT IS WHY WE ARE STILL ON EARTH, we have a calling to fulfill, every one of us.

It's such a silly belief. The story, some jackass pisses everyone off claiming to be the son of god so they beat the hell out of him then nail him to a cross and 2000 years later billions of people believe he saved them. If you believe that crap then I guess you also believe some guy named noah built an ark and put 2 of all the animals on the planet and had enough food to feed them all, I guess that ark was the size of africa, and I guess you also believe some silly man named moses lived to be 900 years old.

people really are gullible

Because people all have a purpose on this earth. Sometimes, their destiny is just to come to the knowledge of Jesus and accept Him in their heart. Others have a larger purpose. We all stay here until our race is run to the finish.
