Every animal is different. We have a border collie who freaks about fireworks and thunderstorms. As long as she is with us and not by herself, she is fine.

We set off a lot of fireworks on the 3rd of July, my lab mix hid in the tub and would chase people out of the bathroom, my mom's little dog hid under the blankets on the couch and both my kittens where running around playing like it was nothing. I think that dog are more affected by fireworks then cats are i don't know why but from personal experience that is what i found out.

The fireworks are not really near us, but I am concerned about thunderstorms flaring up. The kittens will get a second snack and an early supper today. They are preparing for neutering tomorrow morning.

I put them inside the house as I always do every year.... beginning around 6 or 7 in the evening until morning.. I think it behooves ALL individuals who have pets and who LOVE their pets to do likewise.

We're just locking them in a spare bedroom. It's cool, they have plenty of food, water, and of course their litter.
It keeps them safe - and our company won't be sneezing their heads off from all the hair.

Our little boy is on my lap and our little girl is next to my wife. We are spending the afternoon together, husband, wife and kitty cats.
Fireworks make our little girl nervous, but she is ok when she is with us.
Take care,
Troy

I will be bringing Ben ( my cat) in as soon this even as I can get him to come. He will stay in tonight, much against his wishes.
