I really don't know; at times, when I was younger, I thought suicide was kind of romantic--you know? People would look at my remains and think "poor thing, so unhappy and we didin't know" and there were celebirities and writers and all who did it--but fortunalely, I grew up and when I was going through a divorce and my children were so unhappy and I couldn't make anyone happy and my bills were unbelivably high, and everyone was going to know what a loser I was, I decided to end it all. I took a bunch of pills so I could write my daughter a letter (guns are really quick) explaining it wasn't her fault and as I wrote, I realized I didn't want to die.So, I destroyed the letter and had a really good night's sleep. After that, if it ever crossed my mind, I thought of Dorothy Parker: "Razors pain you/ Rivers are damp/Acids stain you/Drugs cause cramps./Guns aren't lawful/Nooses give/ What the hell?/Might as well live." If you are really thinking about this, please talk to someone. Remember, death doesn't change anything. And the worst case scenario, as stated by Hamlet "Perchance to dream." Now won't it be the suck of all sucks if one commits suicide and takes his/her problems with them into the next world?

This is sort of embarassing to answer. I have considered it. There have been a few times in my life when I thought it was bad enough to myself and others that I didn't want to be around.... but I chickened out.
I contemplated ending my life because I was depressed. I felt unloved and unwanted. Mostly, this feeling would come along after my mother had yelled at me over something miniscule for several hours (believe me, that woman can yell). It really makes you feel like you are nothing... worthless.
But, if I've learned one thing, its that no matter how bad you think your life is, it will get better. And chances are someone has it worse off than you... and they are still going. You need to find strength in yourself... You need to tell yourself that you are strong enough to keep going and live life... Because you are.
Your life may seem valueless to you at times, but I can gaurentee you that at least one person values your life so highly, that they would sooner die than have you kill yourself.

once and i went through with it and almost succeeded! i was depressed over a woman i was dating and i found out through her roommate that she was engaged to another man and failed to inform me of this! i was crushed at how much she had no respect for me,i was just a plaything to her! so i took a bottle of tylenol pm that contained 150 pills and i lost consciousness at the 75th pill! i don't know if i can ever trust another woman as long as i am alive, but one thing is for sure i am not going to do something so stupid over a member of the opposite sex ever again cause your life is more important then getting some action from a person that doesn't give a flip about you or what happens to you!

Daily for years. It's a symptom to my chronic depression. I believe as long as I don't have a plan, then the ideation is something I'll just deal with. Some of us are medication resistant so counseling helps. Get help if you need to. Have a nice day. PS People with depression are not crazy.

Thoughts of suicide are not that uncommon, but if this is something that occupies too much of your thoughts please get examined for depression.
It used to cross my mind from time to time when I was much younger, but not anymore.
And ignore the first two answers. They're allowing their lack of sense and compassion to guide them.

dunno, more than 10, i think.
sometime it cames when i feel life is never kind to me.
but somettimes it's just for fun, just for no reason. i need more different feeling and imagination when i get bored.
thinking about suicide is quite entertaining and it will feel even more good to realize that "thanks god i'm still alive".
