In the book of Daniel, it speaks of an angel fighting the prince of persia. Can anyone answer this as to the meaning? Intelligent people please.

Biblical speaking and spiritual: The prince of Persia is Satan, because Satan is the prince of this world. So this is why the angel Gabriel told Daniel that he would had been sooner to speak to him, but the angel of Persia was giving him a battle for 21 days, but the angel Michael came to his rescue.
Prince of Persia is Satan and his fallen angels.
Daniel 10:12 -14
12.Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. 14 Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come."

In the demonic realm, Satan has spirits assigned over different territories. This is because the devil is not omnipresent like God is. There are spirits assigned to each area. The prince of spirits of that region (Persia) was trying to stop the angelic response to Daniel's prayer. It is interesting that modern day Persia is still threatening Israel, and wants its destruction. Ths same demonic spirit rules there.

If you believe in the spiritual side of matter, angels and demons, the prince of Persia would be a demon. What else could delay an angel from reaching his goal?

Prince of persia (as I have read) was son of king Shahraman,called "Sourena".
The story is around the beggining of "Hakhamanesh" kingdom.
It's quite a story in Iranian books that Sourena was a mighty warrior & travel in time.
And in the video games Sourena (not called in the game) travels in time & seeks for the cure to solve the disaster he has done.
