Adding to the above, I'm not asking so that I can have a one night stand, be a "player", or anything like that. I'm looking to connect with a woman so I can sooner or later (better sooner!) be in a serious and loving relationship. Marriage is the ultimate goal! For now, I just want to be in a relationship that's real. That's going to be impossible unless I get over what to say when I meet ( or rather, "attempt to") meet women. At the very least I know that cheesy pick up lines rarely work, if they work at all. I need some solid advice regarding better things I could possibly say to a woman when I meet her/ approach her for the very first time. Any advice from all you readers would be greatly appreciated. - Thank you all in advance!

Just be honest. tell her you like her smile or something....don't try to be cheesy. And just give her your number instead of asking for hers because she'll take you more seriously. If you want to be married, look for women who are marriage material.

That's so nice of you, you see..to be in a relationship that lasts and works, you must be honest about who you are and what you want from your life. You should communicate your feelings and thoughts very clearly and at the same time be open to recieve the same from your partner. About the ways to approach a woman..well you see the best way to go about is to walk up to her and say hi, to start a conversation..you don't need to search for a topic..you can flatter a woman by making a conversation on...say the reason why you actually found her attactive..the more honest you get with that..the better the response will be..present yourself the way you want the woman of your life to be presented as..and things would go your way.. i hope this helps.. The best thing you can do is introduce yourself, and just be friendly. Strike up a conversation, and ask if she would like to give you a call sometime. Give her your number. Most women will accept your phone number even if they won't give you theirs. It puts the ball in their court, not yours. Even if she's attractive, and you get excited, stay calm. Be cool. Relax. Talk to a woman like she's a person, not a hot chick. Show respect, look at her eyes, not her breasts, or any other part of her anatomy! If you can follow these simple rules, you'll be ahead of 95 percent of the guys who approach her. Good Luck.

Just try to strike up a casual conversation first, don't try pick-up lines to start. You need to meet women and see if you even like their personalities not just their looks, before you even start to look for someone to marry. The main goal should be to rule out the ones you don't connect with after meeting, not to find "the one" to be a girlfriend and ultimately marry. One step at a time to marriage or your marriage will be mighty short. I have always responded to strangers who just casually talk to me rather than feeling like I'm getting hit on. Practice just talking to strangers without thinking about only talking to someone you'd like to date. You may be ruling out the one you eventually fall for. Plus you will get better at talking to someone you'd really like to meet. You might even find you meet people who you'd like to be friends with, and expanding your circle of friends may even open up possibilities of meeting someone through those friendships.

Make eye contact once that is done wait for her to look at you (not stalker stare) again then casually wet your lips and walk over to her and BE YOURSELF don't forget to have a sense of humor. If you don't connect try another woman don't waste your time on looks they aren't everything.

if you want to connect to a girl, find something in common with her and start talking about that... eventually you can expand into other topics and you may find that you do have a connection with her! if you get to know her then get her number and ask her out to dinner or lunch within the next few days... it may work but dont forget to compliment her! good luck!

It's an oxymoron to say that you want to have a girlfriend ASAP...because it takes time to find a girlfriend that fits the purpose of calling her a girlfriend...
What you want is a buck fuddy ASAP! And in my suggestion, find a girl who recently broke up with her boyfriend and tell her what she wants to hear...just don't plan for it to be long term...most likely it won't be!

When you identify a girl you like approach her identify yourself, let her know she looks great, and you would like to get to know her or ask her out on a date, no pick up lines please none whatsoever, you must ensure you look presentable, be gentle man. after that just let it flow.
