Hi, I was responding to add in the paper for maltese
puppies. He told that only puppies available were
from a person who had traveled to Afrtica, and now
unable to care of puppies. Thus, this was the only
maltese puppies were available until next year.
When asked if I could see the parents of the
maltese puppies, he dodged the question as
well as his location supposedly in Northern California.
This may be a scam, please let me know your
experience with Davis Jones as a maltese
breeder? Thank you for your help!

Regardless of what they say their name is THEY ARE A SCAM !!!!!! it would cost an arm and leg to have a dog shipped to the US from Africa.
ABSOLUTELY NO reputable breeder will NOT provide you with a phone number to contact them. They will offer references and a copy of their health guarantee
I provide enough references to bog down a powerful computer. And am very happy to do so.
Report the seller to the paper and forget about that puppy, wait for another one that offers all the information you will need.
There are reputable breeders out there, just be sure to go slow and be careful.

There was scams going around like that with other breeds. Your story has a familiar ring to it. The name of the breeder is always different but the story is about the same. Its all about getting your money. There are many good breeders out there, if I were you I would shop around

You say you are 'a breeder' and yet you don't know a basic thing like how long a b itch is pregnant for etc.? What's a 'breeding ratio'? Why are you building kennels for puppies to, presumably, be born into? I don't believe you! Sorry.
