There is no such thing as inter-racial marriage. All people on earth have the same DNA that can be traced to a woman of African descent going back approximately 200,000 years. "All people are born pink with pink gums, white teeth, and like cars they arrive in different shapes and colours." Melanin is what determines the colour or lack of people. The ancient Israelites are seed of: Shem Japheth and Ham--mainly black and brown sons of Noah--Genesis 50:22, Judges16:19, Nahum 2:10, Job 30;30, Jeremiah 8:21, and Lamentations 5;10. Many of them married Ethiopians and Egyptians--Moses married an Ethiopian. In Joshua chapter 17, Manasseh, first born of Joseph and the rest of Joseph's children not only settled in what is called Jordan today but Joseph's wife was Egyptian also.
Bear in mind that the Romans and Greek people were called Gentiles--they were the roots of most white people today. If God had a problem with races he would not have sent his Jewish son --great grandson of one of the blackest men who ever lived, King Solomon--Song of Solomon 5:11 to die and include non-Jews--especially Gentiles in His New Covenant--Isaiah 11:10.

No. Considering that the bible is full of interracial marriages.

The Old Testament law commanded the Israelites not to engage in interracial marriage (Deuteronomy 7:3-4). The reason for this is that the Israelites would be led astray from God if they intermarried with idol worshippers, pagans, or heathens.

BUT.......

A person should be judged by his or her character, not by skin color. All of us should be careful not to show favoritism to some, nor be prejudiced or racial to others (James 2:1-10, see especially verses 1 and 9). A Christian man or woman's standard for selecting a mate should always be to find out if the person they are interested in is a Christian (2 Corinthians 6:14), someone who is born again by faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:3-5). Faith in Christ, not skin color, is the Biblical standard for choosing a spouse. Interracial marriage is not a matter of right or wrong, but of wisdom, discernment, and prayer.

All who read it, usually depending upon what one wants it to say, can interpret the Bible (or most other pieces of literature) differently. Because of this, the Bible can be made to prohibit most anything one wants it to prohibit. But there is only one true meaning of any piece of literature. Despite what we humans might want it to mean, the one who has the final say on what is meant by the words in the Bible is the Author of those words.

No but there is several scriptures that say it is ok.
Song of Solomon the girl he was trying to get to marry him was black and he was a jew.
Mosses married a black women and the people that protested were corrected by God as having a wrong viewpoint.
Anything he didn't want to mate couldn't dogs and cats of the same size can't mix. Horses and cows. But that leaves a lot of variety in side the group. That also proves evolution could not have ever been the case. Humans of all colors have no problem reproducing with each other.

There are many examples of interracial and interfaith marriages in the Bible. At the end of the day it's really up to your preference and or conviction.

I'm sure. It all depends on how you twist the words to fit your own meaning. The problem is, what if it does say so? The Bible also says that no one should work on the sabbath - and whoever does should be put to death. Look how much the times have changed. Shouldn't we incorporate the Bible to fit today?

The bible can be used to prohibit or require just about anything if you look hard enough and take enough things out of context. Go for it!

Probably not. However, you could find some ways to twist it. I just watched a PBS show were a guy said it was bad because the bible said 'likes should be with likes'. Gosh, I thought that meant dogs with dogs, cats with cats, humans with humans.

Some people need help.

Take some time to know people, we are all alike in so many ways.
