Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Honestly, eat sensibly and exercise.
I'm a nurse, and I have never met a fad diet I found scientifically sound except for the South Beach diet. I didn't follow it exactly, but I used the concept of the glycemic index to guide food choices for a few months and I lost 10 pounds. So South Beach at least has a good scientific theory behind it, however, I also increased exercise. Both are important to losing fat weight and adding lean muscle.
The basic idea of glycemic index dieting is that high-sugar foods are addictive, and eating only foods low on the glycemic index (such as vegetables, whole-grain breads, legumes, lean meats, etc.) will help break the addiction, and thus the cravings. So for instance, for two weeks you will omit all sugary foods, fruits, and drinks, and milk from your diet. Eat only lean meats, chicken, fish, vegetables, and hi-fiber foods. After two weeks, slowly reintroduce food items one at a time, every week or two. If you start to gain weight back, you've found a food that your body can't convert right to energy. It's pretty good, and like I said, worked for me. Plus it means you still get fair variety in your diet.

Yes! I'm glad someone finally asked the best question.
When I came back from Iraq, I weighed 40 lb over what I should. My cholesterol was almost 300.
I was watching a PBS show with a freaky looking guy named Gary Null. I was amazed at his claims. He said all natural eating and getting all your nutrients with no processed foods (natural like we were eating before we came up with all the big business). I got a book that cost $7. It was called "Seven Steps to Ultimate Health" by Gary Null. I followed it to the T. I had to take a cholesterol class by the airforce because when I came back it was so high. I beat the airforce's record 5 times over by following this diet. The dietician wanted to use my name and diet as a reference in her class. The others who were there, their cholesterol went up even on prescription drugs.
It's been two years and I'm still eating ultra healthy. I'm cut, muscular and have a lot of energy. My hair is even growing back!

keep calories under 1500 a day with a low fat/high protein diet and do cardio exercise at least 5x a week keeping your heart rate in the target zone for at least 45 minutes. once you reach goal weight 30 min a day x3 days a week should be sufficient. also drink 60 oz of water a day including green tea. i have lost 100 pounds and kept it off this way. i still do at least 3 miles a day on my treadmill a few days a week and keep a very close eye on the diet to make sure the weight stays off.

My husband is a personal trainer, and the best diet I found was a low carb, low fat, high protein diet with lots of exercise.

I kept my carb count under 20 grams a day, and my protein over 60 grams a day.

For instance, a daily menu would be like this:

Breakfast:
3 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, scrambled
3 strips lean bacon
1/2 cup cottage cheese
3 medium strawberries

Snack:
1 cup tuna (dry-packed or packed in water, not oil)
1 tbsp fat-free mayo
1 pickle spear

Lunch:
6 ounces baked chicken breast, seasoned to taste
2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
4 cherry tomatoes
1 hardboiled egg, diced
2 baby portabello mushrooms, diced
2 tablespoons low carb italian dressing (3g carbs or less per serving)

Snack:
1 8oz chocolate flavored protein shake (you can buy powder at GNC)

Dinner:
8 oz baked chicken breast, topped in 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
1 c steamed broccoli, flavored with lemon juice or a tsp italian dressing
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese

Top it off with 3+ days at the gym, weightlifting and doing at least 30 minutes of cardio daily, and you're set.

the Atkins diet really works. You have to cut down all your carbs to pretty much nothing and exercise. My uncle lost 70 lbs in 9 months. He did awesome. He stuck to the program precisely and it worked wonders. I am sure there are a lot of diets and esercise plans that work, you just have to keep motivated and consistant.

I have tried just about every diet that I have found and the only one that worked and was livable was Weight Watchers. It is very hard to go through life eating no carbs or only salads or packaged meals. Weight Watchers lets you eat ANYTHING you want as long as you account for it. Good luck!

Simply eating right and doing cardio at least four times a week (30 minutes of cardio). There's no miracle solution to losing weight or getting healthy. Eat right, exercise, and do little things throughout the day (take the stairs, park further out so you have to walk, etc) and you'll get results.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
