There have been many cases where people have eaten so much bubble gum through their life that it creates a buldge and sometimes needs to be operated because it blocks the digestive track

Yes, you can---get enough of it in your mouth--take it down the wrong tube and have it stick--have a heart attack while swallowing it---there are hundreds of ways for you to die while swallowing bubble gum---I mean it would be really really long odds --but you could get shot while swallowing bubble gum

I agree with dianna. I asked my doctor about gum and it is just a myth that it take seven years for it to digest.

Not at all- unlike the false belief that it takes 7 years to digest, it digests normally like any other type of food.

by itself no. if you had a big wad of gum and it gets stuck in your throat you can suffocate to death. it is estimated that it takes four years to pass gum through your body by the ama.
