My niece liked Purple at 14. Dark purple. Then she dressed it with bright colors on spread and pillows. Then she went through a goth period and didn't have to repaint. Now she's in a flower child phase at 16 and added a couple of chartreuse and neon pink stripes and layered black lite paint over it all. With bead door screen it really looks cool at night.

So many different colors. If she's a happy person, she may want bright colors...red, orange, etc....I personally would like a turquiose or blue or something. Look at behr.com and see what colors you like. I think that my room is Dried Thyme...or something like that. It's a really pretty darkish green.
Pick out a bedspread that she likes first. Then use colors from that bedspread...Good luck!

Go with something to accent her bedding. Pick the color (other than white) that is seen the least in her comforter and use that.

I prefer PURPLE... or hues of it at least
Purple builds confidence and gives the young person a sense of power... the color also helps inhibite relaxation and concentration.
Use different hues of purple for accents and layers for curtains.

white. That way when her favorite color changes(as it probably will quite often) all you have to change is the bedding.
