Apparently, yes. In some regions of Austria, Southern Germany and must of the Czech Republic, in some way or another a modern version of the Bohemian it's still spoken, because when all that region was under the influence of Austria or Germany, it was in the brink of extinction. Currently known as Czech. Check the link. Perhaps it sheds some light on the subject.

as i am Czech i can tell you whatever you wish in Czech. Czech Republic has 10million people, majority of them speak Czech fluently, cause we dont have many immigrants. There are more Czech emigrants, to be sure - due to long time of communist rule.
Ahoj jak se mas? that was Hi how are you in Czech.
Any Czechs around???
sorry but what glamdring says about Czech being spoken in Southern German and some parts of Austria - that is kinda misinterpreted, that cant be true. on the contrary, it is spoken in all Czech republic, not just most of it, indeed we dont have many people here who dont speak Czech.
