I love the Vatican, it was Caligula's summer home.

Ah! a cheap two points.
I read in a history text now used in American schools that the Vatican, considered a nation, has two major sources of income. According to the text, by a major US publisher,
those sources are:
1. Tourism.!!!
2. The sale of postage stamps.!!!
I have been laughing about this for two years.
If anyone hates the Vatican they are just simple crazy.
I do object to the concept that there is a Vicar of Christ on earth. This idea supplants the Holy Spirit or Christ Himself.
My ancestors did more to establish the Roman church in Europe than most. I have to live with that. But I do not,
by the grace of God or the rule of men, need to kiss the so-called ring of St. Peter.

I don't hate the Vatican as much as I hate the guy ruling it. He's a non-democratic head of state, who rules for life without controls or the possibility for the citizens to remove him. I hate non-democratic states, and non-democratic heads of state.

It is a sin to hate against God's people - even if you disagree with them... and actually the Vatican itself is beautiful architecture and very peaceful.

I have no feelings for the Vatican one way or the other. I guess it has gorgeous gardens, though.

I don't like the Vatican currenlty because it is filled with non-Catholic modernists who are blaspheming the name of Catholicism.

I do not hate it (the whole papal/pagan Rome belief system) , I despise it and everything that it stands for, and I am not afraid to say so. It is the beast of Revelation and the pope is the 'man of sin'. Its system is debased, corrupt, and blasphemous. No man is or can be God.

I never cease to be amazed at the level of ignorance and anti catholic bigotry out there.
It's time to quit listening to all the wackos who know nothing about the catholic church and discover the true facts for yourself.
The correct answers are out there and relatively easy to find. All the history is available. All the scholarship has been done.
There's only two main things to remember:
No matter what you may have been taught from childhood, the bible was never intended to be the do all and end all of the Christian faith. No where in the bible can that concept be found.
The only way to discover what the true Christian faith has always stood for is go back to the beginning and research what people believed and how they worshipped, from the days of the apostles all the way until the present.
Anyone who does that will find no substantial differences between what the apostles taught and what the modern day Catholic church (officially) teaches.
Not to say that there aren't plenty of frauds and false teachers out there, claiming to represent just about every major world religion, Catholicism included.
So, if you want to hate the Vatican, go ahead, but remember:
Mat 16:15 Jesus saith to them: But whom do you say that I am?
Mat 16:16 Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answering said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 16:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.
Mat 28:17 And seeing him they adored: but some doubted.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
Suggesting that God's church has been coopted by evil or is something other than the church which has the pope as earthly chief pastor, and Jesus as the eternal head makes God out as liar.
Anyone else who claims to be the true church, please provide similar scriptural support for your claim, or unequivocal scriptural support for your claim that the Cathollic church is no longer God's true church.
For those who insist on making the pope out as antichrist, St. John tells us that anti-christ is he who denies that Jesus is God.
No pope has ever denied that Jesus is God or that Jesus is indeed, the Christ, God's anointed one, savior of mankind.
Shame on you!
