Why is everyone bashing Christians? I'm a Christian. But I just wanted some good, complete answers on why you don't like us. And don't say ALL Christians are rude or something, because you haven't met all the Christians in the world. So the question is Why do you not like us? Is it fair to blame the whole Christian faith for a mistake only a few Christians make?

Manda, I think you're asking the wrong question. If you ask the right one, you'll get the answer you are looking for:

The right question is: Why do Christians bash everyone who doesn't believe as they do?

When you identify as a "Bashed Christian," I immediately assume you are a Conservative Christian. As a group, these Christians oppose anyone, vociferously and often violently, those whose beliefs and lives are not lived EXACTLY as theirs. Professing love, Conservative Christains utter hate. Professing caring, they accuse others of evil.

You state these are mistakes that a few Christians make. In all honesty, they are mistakes that most Conservative Christians make.

Religions that evangelize or spend its focus on making converts is simply offensive, frankly.

Look at all the efforts to put the 10 commandments into courtrooms, mandatory school prayer, prayers at football games, trying to rewrite science books to support Christian Mythologies (creationists implying the planet is only 6,000 years old or imply Noah's ark was a "historical" event without a shred of proof), or trying to force the government to give money to faith-based charities.

Many other religions don't commit this kind of offensive or outrageous behaviors.

This flies in the face of our found fathers who wanted a clear separation between church and state.

The country was founded by non-Christians btw (Washington, Jefferson were Masons. 14 signers of the Declaration of Independents were masons too.)

No, you're right it isn't fair to generalize and stereotype an entire group based on the actions of a few. Unfortunately for the Christians, the good ones don't get any press.

I don't begrudge you your beliefs, but I do begrudge the way you try to impose your beliefs on the rest of the world. You've been brainwashed with this "hell" mentality, which says that anyone who doesn't accept certain doctrines are damned to the flames. That makes you try to impose your beliefs on the rest us, Christian or not, because you just know that that's what God wants.

Examples: You want to force our schoolchildren to pray to your God.

You want to decide who can and cannot get married, like gay people.

You want to make personal decisions for pregnant women, such as whether they can decide to have their baby or not.

You want to put up Christian monuments and markers in courthouses and other public places, so you can rub the unbeliever's nose in your Christianity.

If you were like any other religion, and practiced discreetly (as Christ commanded), then we wouldn't be attacking you all the time. But, no, you really would like to force me into your church, push me to my knees, and make me confess YOUR faith.

Because many of us atheists know more about your religion than you do. We don't ever try to force religion down your throat. We listen all day to christians argue with evolution and get their facts wrong; We didn't evolve from apes!!! We don't hate christians, just the idiots on Y!A. Have a nice day!

I don't like Christianity because some Christians tell me that I'm going to spend eternity burning in hell. I don't like Christianity because some Christians are constantly trying to convert everyone. I don't like Christianity because some Christians constantly tell me that my beliefs (or non-beliefs) are wrong, without offering me any evidence at all as to why they are wrong. I don't like to be told how I'm going to spend eternity. I don't like to be told what I am or what I've done - "You sin and you're a sinner".

I don't like Christianity because it's hypocritical. I don't like Christianity because it's based on fear. ALL Christians are practicing a religion that is 100% fear based. Irrational fear causes many problems.

The question is not of Hate, but its of finding the true path.

And as a Muslim, i do respect Christians faith, but it does not mean that if Christians does not respect us than we should become ignorant like them, why because our Religion tells us to respect others faith, It also tells us to tell them the true path in a handsome manner, if they dont accept it then just leave it to Allah (God) and if they accept the truth then they have choosen the true path and will be successfull in here after.

Accept:

There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah.

Please see and get knowledge by reading Quran, then it depends upon yourself to get to the true path.

Thats because people who dont like christians are influenced by satin to make us feel uncomfortable. If you are unconfortable for just one second than maybe some may think twice about our faith.. And that is Satans goal to make everyone miserable and unhappy.

Fear ,guilt,a few bad experiences.Allowing themselves to become what they dislike. Instead of sharing the message,it tends to become a convert or die demand. If you have faith, you will not be shaken by non belief. To let go,let God and just share how the Lord has moved in your life is all we need to do.Take this as an opportunity to lead by example. Be the peace. may the light keep you.
