what diffrence would it make, what if one knows what is right and wrong. know your self i would say.

what if one does right with out any faith in him. but only in him self?

Exactly. Religion is about control.

It is the fear that people need to be frightened into acting responsibly. This is nonsense. Jesus taught a simple message. Love your neighbor. Not because of some fear of punishment but because it is the only logical thing to do. It has nothing to do with religion, it is simply being a responsible adult human being.

Until we learn to love and care for each other nothing will change.

Many say the world is a tough place I need to look out for myself. This idea is foolish, it is backward thinking. So long as we have this me first idea the world will continue to be a tough unloving place.

Hi Leuroth - I wouldn't call it ignorance; I would call it not receiving the Light of God (unenlightened). Any normal adult knows what is right and wrong -- we all come equipped with a conscience and free will. Knowing yourself isn't enough; you can know that you push the blame for things onto other people - that's not enough, you need to accept responsibility for whatever you do, and remedy it. Everything we do has an impact - good or bad.

Learning to know God and love Him and appreciate Him and give thanks is what life is all about, not just knowing yourself.

As a Christian Pastor I have never considered someone ignorant that didn't believe in GOD and JESUS CHRIST.

It isn't a matter of intelligence it's a matter of FAITH.

Proverbs 14 makes a statement that there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is destruction. The Bible also says that we are born in sin and shapen in iniquity, without the blood of Jesus we cannot be saved. Knowing God and what he wants for you is what is important. We are sinful beings and we don't know the future - isn't it smarter to put your trust in God who knows the future and wants the best for you?
