every christian i have met is a hypocrite, they tell u one thing when they do it, god says ur secret sins will be known, y hide them from us, u should be ashamed of god knowing every detail. and they take ''offering'' which doesnt help god in any way. and if christ died for all sins, then 6 hours on cross and being tortured isnt compared to internity in hell, to me that looks like pussy pain, since hes the son of god, and then they say it makes ur better, brainwashed more like it, theyll drive christ into ur head but not listen to ur beliefs (if u have any).....they judge everything, when somethings they judge is their opinion not gods. they think they have the power to punish some people when christ said he who has not sinned cast the first stone. christians are cults, religion is. when people jump up and dance and speak in tongue is bull, agian brainwashed to think they have spirit inside them. i was a christian than i woke up. how does god expect us to believe with little evidence?

Wow - you have some very strong opinions. All I can say in response is that faith is believing without seeing. Regarding judgmental Christians, while we are not supposed to judge, we are only human. Sometimes our baser instincts come out and it's true that people get hurt.

Personally, I'm the first to admit that I sin, I have negative thoughts, I do things that I'm not supposed to do and I have no defense. I'm just so grateful for a forgiving and loving God that sent His Son to pay the penalty for my sins so that I don't have to.

By the way, it wasn't the suffering on the cross that cleansed us, it was the spilling of innocent blood. Christ was the final sacrifice because the animal sacrifices (Old Testament) were never sufficient.

I hope this has helped, even though it's obvious that this wasn't a question it was more of an "I'm bored so I'm going to share my hatred with anyone willing to read it". No judgment - just an observation.

God bless you!

It sounds like you're basing your assessment of Christianity on the relatively thin slice of Christians -- mostly charismatics and fundamentalists -- you've happened to talk with. Be open-minded and humble, and realize that you may not know all there is to know about "what Christians believe." If you want to begin to work out these questions on a real level, a deep level, you have to be willing to do some serious reading and thinking.

And basically, why would you hate Christianity because so many Christians are failures? You agree with what Jesus says about not casting the first stone, and then you pass judgment on Christians yourself when you call them hypocrites. So what, are you perfect? Are you never hypocritical?

I hear a great respect for Jesus in what you say. So good -- stick with Jesus, and as for the Christians, well -- we're a mixed bag, just like everyone else. You can't be with any group of people and find nothing but kind, honest souls. We're all doing the best we can, including you...

There are open-minded Christians out there who aren't going to shoot you down for your beliefs, who aren't going to have a problem with your questioning. Stay away from the fundamentalists and find a good, liberal mainline Protestant church to go to, Episcopalian or Methodist or United Church of Christ, where your own thoughts and your own search will be respected.

And there's plenty of evidence for God's existence, in the world and in your own heart, but you have to take the first step, or that evidence won't mean anything to you. Do you say "no" to life, or "yes"? That's the basic decision. Faith is a "yes" to life.

well God doesn't expect you to believe with little evidence. That is why he gave us an abundance of evidence. Part of your issue is not that you have a problem with Christianity, it's that you have a problem with the imperfect people who are Christians. Sadly a lot of christians are Bible illiterate, and base most of what they know on hear say or what someone else said or what they think they heard someone else say. Most people christians and non christians a like do not look into and research a matter to find the truth of the matter.

A lot of people are like sheep that blindly follow. part of the reason for that is laziness.

So, inconclusion many of your observations are accurate (sadly), but just because MOST christians you know are hypocrites does not mean that ALL are.

I hope this response was helpful

You make a lot of valid points. I used to feel the same way. My little sister the only good christian that I know. She truly tries to walk the walk and talk the talk. She doesn't shove anything down anyone else's throat. If you want to know something, she will share, but not without being asked first. She's not out to convert the world. She tries to live a good life, and recognizes that no one is perfect and we are all forgiven. Personally, I study Buddhism, it makes more sense to me. As it turns out, although people think that Buddhism and Christianity are so different, at their core, they are very similar religions. We are all searching for the same things in this life, we all want to be loved and feel safe. I hope you find both. Best wishes on your spiritual journey.

You ARE bored.
Christianity is a belief based in faith. Evidence isn't necessary.
If you don't believe then it is totally your business.
There are hypocrites in every religion, as well as race, as well a gender, everywhere.
My advice to you is to get some new friends. Join a group of any kind from a book club to an atheist meeting, anything that can help to do something with your spare time.

Hope you find something worth while to do.

Bless you no matter what.

We are warned about false prophets...unfortunately there are false religions also. Just because someone calls themself a Christian doesn't mean they are one. Going to church makes you no more of a Christian than going into a garage makes you a car. It sounds like you were exposed to some people that really don't get it or understand. Maybe someday your anger will wane and you will be open to hearing the true word and really knowing Christ. I consider myself a Christian and find many of the things you posted to be frustrating to me also. Please don't judge God based on a few misguided zealots.

I have to agree with you. Christianity is really a jojke. They always sit and talk about how persecuted they are yet look at THEIR history. They've done nothing but cause bloodshed, spread fear by mind control and try to convert people by using "the devil" to scare. (they stole "the devil" from the god Pan)

I have no respect for Christianity. Most of them don't respect my faith either, even though I have offered proof of mine and can actually back up things with historical texts. They constantly tell me the things in my faith are silly or crazy. So I tell them:

"Isn't a virgin getting impregnated by an arrogant and prideful god and a man being raised from the dead a bit crazy?"

You seem to be the hypocrite. You criticize Christians for being narrow minded and listen to yourself! Stop Christian bashing and realize that just because you think something not everyone else has to (I know you use that argument against Christians, but I''ve never met someone who tried to convert me; probably half the people who say they have are talking about those crazy people on the subways who give you a mini bible-thats no proselytization!).

So, this is not a question...or is it? Maybe you are looking for the answer and don't know where to find it. Don't judge all Christians by what a few do wrong. Read the Bible. This is God's word. He will tell you like it is!

You are only pointing out the bad side to all people. Christians should not judge. But aside from that forget what they say and remember what God says. Ignore those who think they are God and seek only him for the answers. He is the only one you are accountable to. You should not conform to that of this world but look up to God to guide you.
