It's a shame to see that after 5 years of crusade against the terrorist Muslims, people still don't know the difference.

A mujahid is someone who fights to protect it's land and people. A soldier (goarmy.com anyone?)

Talibans is a cult of religious nuts. They started off as fighting for a Muslim state in Afghanistan which is fine like here in USA the law today is made under Christian laws (gay marriage anyone?) but once they got a hold of the power. They went nuts and started to made their own rules.
Most of their teachings didn't exactly followed Islam.

Although neither are the pillars of society, I would say that the Taliban is the worse of the two. The Taliban is known in the Middle East as the most dangerous group of all... this, well before the World Trade Center bombings. Their treatment of women, as well as the despicable things they have done in wars such as between Taliban controlled Afghanistan and Iran (i.e., skinned people alive, chopped off their heads, raped and tortured, etc.) clearly show how truly ruthless these people are and have been for many years. The Mujaheddin are only marginally less ruthless.

Both are good in their literal meaning of the word; to be a mujahid is to be some one struggling against difficulties placed on you by others, or a Taliban, some one seeking the truth. In their practical sense, the mujaheddin were defensive soldiers in Afghanistan that defeated the Russians and are now in the police and military; being a Taliban is basically being a Kafir/Munafiq, a non-Muslim b/c it is not truth that is being sought, it is power and following the ignorant advice of paid agents.

This Is a mistake. To find difference of better or worse. Ask those who are suffering for they thought that Mujahiddin might have been better.

any group, man, institution, or government whose primary goal is to deprive others of their basic right to life and happiness is not good. there isn't a lesser of two evis, either. both of these groups kill without compunction innocent people in order for their own percieved gain. all terrorist groups suck the big one.

We must seek out both organizations and totally destroy them. I suggest public execution as a warning to other upstarts.
