Im 18. I find it very hard to interact with other people espically those that I Know. I dont drink, many say Im weird for not drinking. I never thought of this but maybe Im scared to drink. I feel very very lonely most of the time. I dont know what to do and Im starting to lose most of my friends because I dont go out and socialise with them. Whats wrong with me? How can I get over this?

You are not weird. (what is "weird" anyway?) 18 is too young to drink. I drink every once in a while, but it is not necessary in order to have fun. Find friends who have more in common with you. Do some volunteer work, find a JOB, join a book club, whatever you're into. I didn't have that many friends at 18 either- at least, not my own age. My friends have always been older than I. You sound very mature for your age. Embrace that. Be proud of who you are. It's OK to be different from other people. You're just being yourself and not trying to be like everyone else, and that's a good thing!

Maybe you have a hard time interacting with the people you know, because you only know people who have different interests than you. I mean, your acquaintances all drink and try to force others to drink. What do you have in common with them?
Of course it is hard to socialize with people so different from yourself!

You need to find people who are more like yourself. Maybe then you will have an easier time interacting.

And BTW, kudos for not letting anyone pressure you into drinking! You are too young, and even if you were old enough, there is NO reason to drink if you don't enjoy it.

Hang in there kid, at 18 you have a life time of learning to experience. You need new friends. Try some of the social clubs that might have a religious background if that is your thing, or some other type of community involvement that centers around mental and inter awareness growth as opposed to drugs and alcohol.

Last week I attended the funeral of my 18 year old nephew who OD-ed. What a total waste of life.

Weird: the Oxford American Dictionary defines it as “strange and uncanny or bizarre.” That just described everyone. So one can make the statement: Weird’s normal and normal’s weird. Everyone’s different and you obviously don’t share the same interests as the people that know you. The only reason they deem you as “weird” is because you don’t like to participate in drinking-a social activity for them it sounds like. Because you don’t like to socialize, maybe you have a personality disorder. If it really concerns you, then talk to your doctor or a mental health professional. In the meantime, you could try to find new people to talk to, say online. Oh, and to directly answer your question, no, I don't think that you are weird.

Stay as you are. There are people just like you out there and you will find someone.
Going with the flow is not always the best answer.
Seems to me you have some common sense and that is a good thing.

Mate, I didn't drink often until I found a group of friends. It just sounds like you're a loner or an introvert. There's nothing wrong with that. Who cares what others think?

I am 21 and I don't drink too! If you don't drink that only means that you are more clever because you love your health in stead of ruining it!!! :) Find yourself normal understanding friends with who you can go out to normal places. And yes, you will lose your friends if you won't keep in thouch! :)

My first thought was are you suffering from depression?
This link might be helpful. (I only suggest it since your simptoms sound similar to those listed.) http://www.depression.com/

As for not wanting to/being scared to drink: That it good. People should not drink as much as they do. Do not feel bad for wanting to stay healthy.

Sounds like depression to me. Seek help - emotional depression can progress to clinical depression which needs meds to get over. You need to find out why you're sad. Do it before it becomes chronic.
