Hey Savvy S,
God is a figure upon which many others view as being a savior or to pray well being upon. Many religions such as Atheism, depict that we are in charge of what ever happens, happens. Others like the Muslim religion look at their God as the reason they are alive, such as offering food and well-being. But Catholicism among others offer Cathedrals, Mosks, and Temples as a place to worship and thank their God. Others then believe that God is universal and should be practiced everywhere other than cathedrals. In my opinion, God only creates and controls our faith in ourselves, and offers a system kind of like karma. If you do good things, God will send good things back. I do believe that their is a higher power out there, may it be robots, aliens, other people, or God all-mighty, just know someone or thing is looking over us 24/7. Hope you live my answer...

To me, God is an outlet for people to confide in what they could not to others in their lives.
God is a fictional character created to demonstrate the difference between right and wrong.
God's story of heaven and righteousness is there to make us believe we get something wonderful after death, something to look forward to instead of just non-existence.
To me, God is no one.

God is something bigger in life, that people need to believe in. I dont believe in what's in the bible, but the moral of it is good. Just take the 10 commendments, if everybody lived after the ten commendments we would have a great world. I think that everything in the bible is written as more as pictures of what to do. Sorry all believers!

God is (to me): complex. He is the great chain of being, from the greatest possibilities to the most horrific (to consider otherwise is simply cognative dissonance). He is the most attractive entity in existence (Krish-na), possessed of innumerable charms. He is the Lord of ecstacy and love. He is the lover of the supreme Goddess (Radha), and the reservoir of all joy (Rama). He possesses a bodily form composed of Eternal existence, wisdom, and unfettered bliss. He is the ultimate object of addiction, and devotion; indeed, He is the very reason for the existence of addiction as a human condition. All sacrifice, austerity, and charity is meant for Him. All actions are supervised by Him. All results are provided by Him. He is birth, maintainance, and death. He is Time, the destroyer of the world, and the fertile soil of the future. He is the Life of all life. His songs rapture and melt the most rigid, steel-like hearts, making them soft and pliable. His words give ecstacy to His devotees, tranquility to the saints, and fear to the demonic.

A sky-pixie that people use as an emotional and intellectual crutch.
It should be relegated to the ash-heap of history.
