i have a problem i have not seen my family in five years i miss them a lot i want to see them again but i am afraid of what they will think of me what if they dont want to see me when my grandparents died things went bad and it messed up are whole family what are some things i can do to help me out should i try to talk to them or should i not see them again and get over this

If I got a letter or email from someone in my family that I haven't heard from in a long time saying they were sorry that things had gone bad and that they missed me and wanted to get back in touch and be a family again I would be thrilled. I don't know what's going on in your family but I don't think it would be made worse by reaching out to them and it just might make things better. Try sending a letter that simply says " I still love you, no matter what ". Good luck sweetie

U miss them, then u must approach them. After all its been five years. May be they too must be missing you.
If you dont have courage to meet face to face then at least make a call. Make a brief note of points in advance what you are going to talk. make at least 3 plans... like what if i speak just for a minute or what if i speak for 5 minutes or what if i speak for 15 minutes. So you will be well prepared.
Make the phone call. If things work out your way you can speak whatever all you have on your mind. Break the ice. It will creat new possiblities.
In case you fear that things are not working your way still it will be a winning situation for your, coz right now the most important thing you want to convey them is "YOU MISS THEM".

I think you should try sending them a hand written letter first. This will give them some time to think about they are going to do. I think if you turn up they will get a shock which might upset you even more. You could inclued your phone number in the letter and ask them to ring you. Good luck I hope it works out

You can never replace family. My mom always says no matter how bad things get you cant change the fact that we are blood. I think they will love you anyway no matter what. But if they dont make a new family on your own but at least you can say you tried.
