We woke up the other morning and found this dog in our above ground pool. There is no way he could have jumped in so we figure someone tried to drown him. He is missing an eye, poor puppy! Here are some pics...

The dog you found is an "Apricot" Miniture Poodle that is in desperate need of a haircut. :)
At your earliest convienence, take him to a veterinarian (especially if you want to keep him), or contact the closest poodle rescue in your area to set him up for adoption....here is a site with a map of the US to find a poodle rescue: http://www.poodleclubofamerica.org/usamap.htm

I know how you feel, lots of people drop off dogs here, we have had about like, ten stray dogs here, just here, I think the breed is some kind of poodle, i am postive it has some poodle in it.
I just looked at the two other pictures, he has got to have Maltese in him, My grandmaw used to have one, when they are dirty, they look a whole lot diffrent, I am postive he has Maltese in him, and possible Poodle. And just mabey have some shiz-tuz, sorry for the spelling in him.
I'd take him to the vet as soon as I could, to check out his eye
hope u can keep him
good luck
bye

Soooooooooo sweet. it is a shame it is a possibility someone tried to drown him. He looks like a poodle mix. Maybe a peekapoo or even a cockapoo. Going by the kinky curly hair that is definately poodle traits.
good luck with the new dog that you thank god rescued from drowning.

Some type of terrier mix or sheep dog. It would be easier to tell if he was cleaned up a little. If you are gonna to keep him I would take him to the groomers and get him a little check up. He would feel so much better and look adorable. He is a very cute dog!!

He's definately a poodle mix.
That is how I would describe him, a poodle mix. Looks very sweet, sorry about the eye.

I would keep him and get him an ID tag, if he doesn't have one and keep him safe inside.

Could be a Bichon Frise/Poodle, or a Maltese/Poodle mix. Here is pictures of both of those mixes:

He certainly has a lot of poodle in him. Possibly maltese, also.
That mixture is a lot of money. Some people are so cruel. He is adorable. He's a good mix. If it were me I'd keep him; but at least find him a good home. He's such a sweetie. If you lived near me I'd take him in a heart beat. Good luck.

I am guessing that the dog is poodle, part poodle and yorkie or maybe a bison breed. He looks just like my mother-in-law dog she had. It was a poodle but he was a dwarf, he was suppose to be a standard poodle. The people that had him didn't want him.
