Oh yes, I know. Mujahidin is plural for Mujahid. Mujahid means a person engaged in Jihad. Jihad means struggle. But in this case it means war. so mujahidin means warriors. Taleban, however, were relegious students who were made into soldiers by CIA and ISI in mid 80s to fight soviets in afghanistan. Talib means "one who wants something" mostly used for "one who wants knowledge" or student.

The Mujahiddin in what they call holy worriers. The Taliban was an group that was started by some Mujahiddin from Kandahar during the Russian occupation to oust the Russians and recreate Afghanistan as an Islamic state.
