I'm a Catholic, but when I answer questions I never use religious/theological sources because not only is that wrong of me to do so, but many of the times there is nothing that can directly help solve a person's problems just by quoting a scripture and then hoping that the person with the question will "meditate/pray on it"
In defense of them however, if the question is of a religious matter, then most of the time as long as they're citing their scripture or source information, then theological answers are usually done in good taste without disrespect to other denominations and religions/non-religion.
I know you asked for atheists only, but I feared that you'd get a biased answer which would make any answer irrelevant.

on aggitating? If you want to be an atheist, go ahead. Jesus said to wipe your feet of them...and move on. The Bible says that if you don't believe in God, that you are "DEAD ALREADY." Just REMEMBER THIS: "Truth IS Stranger," Than Fiction. Being an atheist is nothing to be proud of. It just means that you have no Life Insurance and this is "All" that you will ever know, which isn't much.

I think smug knows no religion, and the overwhleming majority are good hearted people, and the smug few spoil the lot.
Theres just as good a ratio in the atheist population of smug to overall population, that probably spoils the image to the non-atheist.

it's sad when an atheist like myself knows more about the history of thier religion than they do.
A few have at least a teaspoon full of brains but they are few and far between.

We love 'em. Just like they hopefully love us. Their responses are important to know which way man's mind is thinking. Energy is the potential of differences. Without polarization there would be no movement. Lack of any motion is the first indication one is dead.
