My personal Top 10 Airplane List:

1./ North American Aviation P-51D Mustang
2./ Vickers-Supermarine Spitfire Marks Vb, IX, FR.XIVe, PR.XIX, and F.24 (these are increasingly modified and advanced versions of the Spitfire aircraft)
3./ De Havilland Mosquito FB.VI
4./ Hawker Sea Fury FB.11
5./ North American Aviation AT-6/SNJ-5 Texan (I've flown these several times and they're a real joy)
6./ Canadair CL-13B/CF-86 Mark Six Sabre Jet
7./ Royal Aircraft Factory SE-5a
8./ Ryan ST-A Special
9./ Stinson 108-2 Voyager
10./ Beechcraft D-18S/C-45 Twin Beech/Expeditor

I love old airplanes.

747s have been in service since 1969 and are still being manufactured although they are constantly being upgraded they speak for themselves. As far as a fighter is concerned I quite like the harrier jump jet and f-18 Hornet.

Sukhoi Su30. Its the best fighter currently in production, way ahead of the F-16s, 18s.
