No. I was caned alot and often had to wear my "tiger stripes" all down my legs and arms as a child. I hated the embarrassment and I hated how my parents who were supposed to love me could do that to me. I've since forgiven them and they've changed alot, but I still have anger issues.
I often instantly resort to violence when pushed to my limits. I won't just settle at insults or arguments. To this day, I wake up in the middle of my sleep with nightmares and often kick and punch in my sleep. It's so bad that my girl often gets kicked or punched by me in my sleep. It's horrible because I don't even mean to hurt her. And I still remember this one time when I almost punched my camp mate while he was sitting on his bed and having a smoke. Lucky for him he moved aside fast enough. I woke up in mid-swing to see his shocked face as he dodged my blow.
Don't cane kids. It affects them more than you can imagine. Even during adulthood.

well I don't think children would much enjoy being canned...but then again, in some countries you never know. lmao
Serously, if you are wanting to can your own garden veggies and fruits..then yes...its very good. You will know exactly how the food was prepared, no preservatives, plus if ya'll do it together makes for some great quality time.

Usually you can the vegetables at the best time of their growth, so they are much better for you and your children than vegetables that you buy that are a little iffy with all of the colors and chemicals in them.

Do you mean canning like eating canned food or caining like beating your child with a stick? Canned food isn't good but it's better than beating your child with a stick which is NOT acceptable.

I hope you mean canned food and not caneing as in using a cane to whip and punish. My Mom raised 7 of us kids on her own canned food and we turned out just fine.

if done proporly it can be very benificial to use your own veggies instead of the genetically-altered, pessidicide filled, non nutritional plant.
