THe program was free reg checker. I get a line stating regscan/opt/fix when carrying out a detailed check. can you please tell me how to edit this. The exact procedure please!

ok guys, i know how to use msconfig! The program does not show up in the list. Like i said, i've uninstalled the program, yet MRC starts every time i boot up. When I do a step by syep start up, i get the scanreg lines quoted above. Do I need to edit the autoexec file?

Start --> Run

Enter "msconfig" and click OK

Click the startup tab

Find the program's entry and check the box off

Click OK

Restart the computer

Alternatively, uninstall the stupid registry checker, which you don't actually need.

Start -> Run
type "msconfig" and in tht msconfig dialog box...
Select the Startup tab and remove the particular entry fromtht..
then restart it.........

Another way:

My Computer -> (OS installed Drive) Normally C:
C:->Windows/startup
then remove the particular entry from tht folder...........

Open up the program. Check out its Options/Preferences. There must be an option "Start with windows". Turn it off.

go to start>run type msconfig - and get rid of the program you dont want to auto run fromt he list

You need to Format your Partition on tht is Your Win98Se Installed, and Install Win98se Again!
