Can the patient drink bullion cube broth,the day before the test.The gastroenterologist is closed for the holiday,test is 7/5 at 8:30

Yes but not beef. Chicken as it needs to be clear.

You have to be fasting for 24 hours before the test. Your last meal should be CLEAR liquids and should help the doctor have a better view of your intestinal wall. Jello, broth, apple juice clear soda can be ingested. Good luck on the results.

Yeah, I had this procedure done last week, and drank several mugs of chicken boullion the day before. They said the "prep" was quite adequate.

yes not only fasting, but no drinking except the things the doctor gives you to clean out your bowels

I think you should only take clear liquids. If it is clear then it may be okay
