It's a pretty uninteresting drive - just a few small towns to stop for restrooms and coffee. The casino in Primm has a really interesting looking roller coaster (not ridden it yet!) The outlets there are OK if you're into shopping. They also have a food court if you need food. Barstow also has outlets and lots of fast food places. It's quite a good place to get something to eat. (It has an In N Out, my favourite.) The grand Canyon is a few hours drive past Vegas, depending on the weather. It's well worth a visit. You can also take a diversion to Death Valley.

It's truly a pretty boring drive. The only real stop is Baker. If you decide to go out the Pear Blossom Hwy. you can get on old Route 66. I forget the name of the restaurant that has the huge (like 100 foot high) thermometer but other than that there's not a whole lot. It's not that long of a drive from LA to Vegas so no real need to stop.

There are a couple of casino resorts about 30 miles away from Las Vegas, just basically very miniature versions of Las Vegas lol. Theyr called Primm and Jean. Primm is right at the border with California.

Hi Mate,
I did a road trip from Vegas to LA in March. Places to see are Grand Cayon, Death Valley, Area 51, Hoover Dam, San Diego is a must as there is so much to do. Also the Nevada moutains are quite cool to see. You must pop into mexico as it on the route in. and pop to Pheonix as well its the 3rd largest city in the US.

You'll most likely take I-15 the majority of the way, and there is not much there but lots of sand.
There is a ghost town right past Barstow that is interesting enough.

You can go to a Calico Ghost Town (the name is something like that). You can also go to Barstow or a shopping place if you pass any. That's about it. There really isn't any places to stop.
