Too many.
And if the 'anti-war' crowd would just shut up the enemy would stop killing as many.
(Hint: the enemy is encouraged by you guys so the go out and kill more civilians in hope that if they kill enough, you will pressure us to leave - allowing them to take over.)

I think it is difficult to keep count. Every day there are headlines telling us of another car bombing or attack leaving 20 or so dead...but even the American casualties seem hard to count. The Pentagon states one number but the newspapers seem to be reporting far more than the Pentagon says??? In Vietnam, casualties (for the enemy) were often distorted to make it seem that progress was being made....common foot soldiers became officers, and sergeants became important political cadre or generals to enhance the tale. At worst, there were always blood trails suggesting that enemy soldiers had been wounded....in many countries, people chew betel nut and spit out a red saliva.. it might have been and was often was the blood trail. I suspect that the current reports from Iraq are 're-worked' to fit the needs of the press as well as the government. I am sorry for those that have been killed or wounded but is the war being both intensified by the press and further horrified by the administration to justify their incursion into Iraq?

Greetings:
Go to: www.Iraqbodycount.org
You can download a desk-top counter (in a couple minutes), if you like, that has an update of the details.
Currently, they list civilian deaths in Iraq ranging from a minimum of 38,822 to a maximum of 43,251.
Peace,
Gondarite
