They do not call themselves that outwardly, they refer to themselves as Catholic.

By definition, I would say they are Christian, though.

Yes, Catholics and Protestants are the 2 main divisions of Christians.

Yes. They believe in God, and that Jesus died for the world's sins. They are a subset of Christianity. They were the original Christians until the protestants split from the Catholic church because it was too corrupt. Since then the Catholic Church itself has reformed.

Yes, the word Catholic is a designation for the church they go to and what they follow. They are still Christians and still follow God. Even though they might have a different belief system they are still CHILDREN OF GOD.

If you are speaking of Roman Catholics, Then no. Those of the true Christian Faith do not concider cannon law Christian. Any who follow this man made dogma are lost.

Even The POPE himself can not tell youthat he knows he is going to heaven. NO pope ever has had that assurance... that is firm in their weak belief. NO preist can tell you that your place in heaven is assured. that would be against what they teach...Not knowing that ones place in Heaaven is assured is proof that one is not of the Christian Faith. The true Christian Faith IS THAT ASSURANCE.

Those of the Christian Faith have a personal, one-on-one, relationship with God. No man doctrin or dogma is between God and His people.

Those of the Christian faith are Saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus The Christ. And not of works, lest any should boast.

you can pray to Marry till the cows come home and it aint go'na save you. No rite, act, or work... no decree of any man, can save anyone. Only The Grace of God, freely given to all who will come to Him in The Way He proscribes can save any one.
If you do not believe that Sallvation is through the free gift of God's Grace... Then you are not of the Christian Faith

It depends. To be Christian means to follow Christ. If a catholic follows the teaching of Christ and has surrendered his life to Jesus, than he is a Christian.

However, some don't do this. They bank on their baptism as salvation and some worship Mary (which is idolatry).

Anyone, catholic, protestant, whatever, who abandons themselves and surrenders their life to Jesus Christ is a Christian.

Yeah but they cant get their head out of their arses long enough to realize that they are one in the same and decide to hate eachother because they are blinded by blindly following a hateful religion that brainwashes the members into thinking love is to be shared only between similarly religious people.

The definition of Christian is one who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is my understanding that Chatholics do not affirm this.
