Tiger Woods, last year at the Masters. Chipped in after playing an incredibly severe break. The ball rolled, then stopped on the lip of the cup and then finally dropped in. The Nike logo just sat there for a second...Nike couldn't have asked for better free advertising.

Saw Nick Faldo hit a shot from about 160 into a gale at the 1998 British open at Royal Birkdale. He hit this thing with a half-swing 2-iron with the slowest swing I've ever seen, and it just climbed and climbed on the wind like a seven iron, into about four feet. What a guy. The others in the group just sprayed everywhere, which only made it more impressive.

Love it, never forget it

THE TRUTH....
Me and a couple of friend went to a 9 hole golf course 5 years ago. We had the video camera. I lined up for a par 3 with my 3 wood. The camera was on me so I decided to play it up so I put my wood away, drew my 9 iron, took 2 steps back from the ball and run up and hit the ball Happy Gilmore style. The green was downhill a bit. The ball went up, down, onto the green and straight into the hole. Hole in one....with video footage.

My Father - dog leg left - he cut it close to the left and could not go thru the trees to the green....so it looked like he had to just put it up diagonally across the fairway. He checks it out, looks up at the trees, tosses some grass for wind direction and says Whata ya think Butch (I'm Butch....John Jr), I hand him the 9, he smiles at me, then looks up at the trees, peeks thru to the green, addresses the ball, puts head down, and then swings with such grace and ease it seemed it was in slow motion. The ball took of with a crisp whack like a rocket, It cleared the trees with room to spare..I ran to the right to get a clear view, it hit the green about a foot past the pin and then leaped up and backwards into the hole!
I looked over at my Dad and said its in the hole!! He smiled again and started walking towards the green. I looked around to see who else saw that shot....but there was no one just my Dad and me.. It didn't matter.... I just saw my Dad make the best golf shot ever!

Well there was this one time when I watched a golfer on TV: HE hit the ball with his golf club and it flew through the air. I thought that was pretty impressive.

Then there was this other time when another golfer hit his ball and it also flew through the air.

Or wait a minute no I might be wrong, I think i my the best shot I saw was when this man ended up in the sand and batted his ball up the hill.

Regards

The best shot I ever saw was Corey Pavin's 4 wood to win the US Open at Shinnecock Hills. Here was a guy that could barely drive it 275, and he beat the best in the world at that time. He hit that thing, had a beautiful draw, landed on the green and he went on to claim his only major.

Honorable mention goes to the hole-in-one that Tiger Woods hit to win his first (?) tournament out in Arizona.

Tiger Woods I guess, from inside a sand trap and couldnt see the pin but shot and went into the hole. And same tournament from the ruff similar situation he shot that ball into the hole. He is deffinately good with a little bit of luck.

A shot that a friend of mine hit one, he topped it so bad that the ball actually went about 6ft backwards before hitting the ground and spinning forwards back to its origional position...Quality.
