The opposite could be true as well: why do men judge women because of their past. More importantly, why do people feel the need to judge???

The past is a part of who you are. You can't ever run from that. People not women alone will judge you based on that most of the time even if they don't say it out loud. Besides the past has contributed to the person you are now. Why not give a woman some time to know you better. Frankly I think thats the only way you'll be able to show her the new you.

How do they know your past? Everyone develops opinions of a person and some of their past is part of that. If you had a negative past - well, I guess you should not expect a totally positive response. Maybe you are telling too much of your past. Some men want to talk about themselves ad nauseam - that would also be a 'turn-off'

Because, man woman or child, we are all a sum of our "yesterdays" It's what a person does that shows who they are. If a gal focuses on something negative, it's either a bad reflection on the person, or the result of a bitter girl. Half the time it's a result of a punk, half the time it's cause the girl's a heartless b--tch that no one want's to be around. (this type's likely to find fault to blame others rather than admit they're a disgusting human being)

they read a guy's past as a pattern of behavior. assuming it is a "bad" past, if there is no indication of change, then it would serve as a good idea of where he is going in the future.
everyone is judged like that -- men and women.

because science made woman to retain everything in order to surivive. In the past they had to remember where they're children were, where the best food was, what happened the last time you tried to eat these berries? Science made men to use there site to surive, where the deer had gone, the best way to shoot the rabbit... blah blah blah...
Woman want to choose men who would make good fathers for there children, in order for there species to surivive... So if these means that a woman has to remember what mistakes he made, how many woman he's been with, *after all who wants to be with someone whom everyone has had? woman like rare things as well as men*
So, in short, she's just looking for a good mate, Tell her IT IS in your past, and you don't like remembering it, any more than she ;)

women judge men because of their past because:
A) it is, as Dr. Phil says, the best predictor of future behavior;
B) a woman puts her heart at stake in a relationship, and wise women guard their hearts; and
C) women are smarter than you think

because it really reflects their personality// 4 example, if they did something negative in the past.. women would really think twice, that there's a possibility that they will do the same thing over and over again:(

I know my wife is still working out the wrinkles from her last marriage. The only deal I have extreme difficulty working thru is when she compares me to her ex on some things.
Not sure if that will stop, i hope soon.
