No, you aren't. If the Bible told you to worship a pile of dog s**t, you would do it.

It doesn't mean you are not smart enough it means you are daring to wonder or question you ideas and the only way to prove yourself right is by searching. Worshipping animals is a different story and I think that is more country based, but think about this, without any animals on earth some of us would be eating each other...pooing on our own grass to keep it healthy. Maybe that's a point we were meant to take into consideration? We should respect all animals, worshipping animals may be a tad extreme as we dont not understand them anyway! Believing in everything you read from the Bible may not be the best answer but for you it might be the right answer for a more sacred and touched life, the morals and teachings are the things I believe you should go by, not the actual stories. Remember the Bible has been re written...God is the one we were meant to worship...!

no. blind faith, such as in the christian religion, requires you to put aside "smart" or critical thinking skills. If an ancient text was found that said Jesus said to begin worshiping god as a monkey, the many Christians that believe in literal interpretation would start to worship a monkey

by elephants and monkeys, i suppose you mean hinduism. the "monkey", Hanuman is in relation to the god Rama, in mythology, it was said that he, under the service of Rama, rescued Sita, rama's wife from her imprisonment on Sri Lanka by king Ravana, the story is called the Ramayanam. and the elephant-god is called ganesha, when he was born, his father was off at war, when he was a little boy, his father came back, Ganesh, not recognising his father, wouldnt let him pass there fore, his father cut off his head, later learning of his mistake, his father, who happened to be a king searched for another head, evenually settling for an elephant's, and reattached it to his son's body. that is why he has an elephant's head. its an unlikley story, i know. hinduism isnt just worship, its also philosophy, which is a science, and you cristians must be pretty stupid to think you can make a statement like this and get away without some verbal abuse from angry hindus. our gods didnt need us to become racist to go to heaven, we dont even have heaven, our gods dont need to gain support trough fear, we dont need to be "saved" as you call it. i really dont think it is smart to worship something blindly just because is says "follow me to salvation or be dammed to hell", do you?
